CBRNE Detection in Containers

COSMIC Work Plan

The work plan is based on 10 work packages.

The work plan is based on 10 work packages. The project management (WP1), Ethics (WP10) and Dissemination and exploitation (WP9) will be executed along the 30 months of the project. WP2 will define the system architecture and specifications with the participation of all technology partners and end users. The development of the COSMIC system will be done in 4 work packages (WP3, WP4, WP5 and WP6) in parallel. WP3, WP4 and WP5 will include the development and integration of CBRNE sensors of the primary, secondary and focused manual inspection stages respectively. WP6 will include software development of the support decision system that manage and control all the CBRNE sensors at each stage and between the stages. WP7 will include all the activities related to the field trials integration and tests at the 3 COSMIC end user sites. In WP8 the field trials tests will be collected, analysed and accordingly the CBRNE sensors and system analytics software will be fine-tuned.

COSMIC Project Structure

WP1 - Project management

The objective of  WP1 are the oveall responsibility for management Project documentation, QA & Risk Management , Supporting Standardization and all correspondents with the EC including all formal reports.

WP2 - Methodology: SoA (State Of the Art) Design and Evaluation Guidelines

The objectives of WP2 are the translation of the marketing requirements to technical specifications and product marketing requirements documents.

WP3 - System Analytics and User layer

The objectives of WP3 are to system anaytics and end user layer that analyze the data gathered by the different sensors of the system and the decision support system.

WP4 - Primary Detection Subsystems

The objectives of WP4 are the design and implementation of new set of CBRNE sensors for the primary stage, and the interfaces between the primary system, secondary system and data analytics.

WP5 - Secondary Detection Subsystems

The objectives of WP5 are the design and implementation of new set of CBRNE sensors for the primary stage, and the interfaces between the secodary system, primary system and data analytics.

WP6 - Focused Inspection Subsystems

The objectives of WP6 aer to design and implement the focused manual inspection CBRNE sensors for detection, the analysis of threats in the filed in open container and interfaces to the data analytics.

WP7 - Beta Sites Integration and Field Trials

The objectives of WP7 are to carry out the integration and the field trials in the different sites/customers.

WP8 - Collect Data and Analyze

The objectives of WP8 are the collect and analayze the field tests results and provide the user interpretation to each relevant technology supplier.

WP9 - Dissemination and Commercialisation

In this WP the commercialization plan is fine-tuned and finalized. It also includes dissemination activities of the commercial and scientific project’s outcome.

WP10 - Ethics

This work package sets out the ‘ethics requirements’ that the project must comply with.
